Hi, Hero Arts fans! I have three cards for you today – all using Hero Arts “Many Birthday Messages” clear stamp set and Hero Arts Shadow Inks, as well as Paper Smooches “Reflections” stamp set, and all fit our current challenge!
I kept all of the designs pretty CAS, and I used masking in two of the three cards. All three cards are stamped on Knight linen-textured cardstock.
For this card, I stamped the sentiment first in Versafine Smokey Grey, then masked over it with some masking paper that I’d cut down to a square. I stamped around this square using a variety of inks (Pale Tomato, Soft Cantaloupe, Butterbar and Green Hills), making sure that a lot of the images overlapped the border of the mask – this ensures that you get a recognisable straight line around your masked area.
For this next card, I didn’t use a mask, because I wanted a more organic edge to the stamped elements. I went with a much more masculine colour palette – Cup O’ Joe, Wet Cement, Soft Brown and Soft Leaf. I also overlapped the stamped images a lot more than I did with the brighter colours.
For the last card, I masked a diagonal line across the card. I then stamped with Cornflower, Tide Pool, Soft Lilac and Bubblegum.
I finished with some clear Wink of Stella, and a tiny bit of Star Dust Stickles.
