And in this case, I mean that literally. Just one stamp, the word “love”, and this card is made.
Hello, crafty people! Michelle here today, with a cute baby card.
I had a think, and I thought the cloud image in the set would work nicely with some of the images from the Hero Arts set “Little One”. This is what I created”
I stamped and white heat embossed the large cloud image, and then added the little curly strings. I hung the cloud, heart, star and moon images from the strings (also white embossed), and then sponged some soft pool ink all around these images. I stamped the “heaven sent” sentiment using Hero Arts ombre ink, and added the “baby boy” underneath.
That’s when this card took a turn – I stamped the words “baby boy” crooked! (serves me right for not using my MISTI!) I had to cut the card down, and mount it onto another card front, so I decided to ink up the edges of the card base to give a bit of grounding to the card design. This means that this is technically not a one layer card, but it started off as one layer, and all of the stamping is on one layer, so I reckon it still qualifies 😉
I then decided I needed another cloud – but I wanted the outline of the first one to show. So I stamped the second cloud over the top of the first one, and added embossing powder, but before heating the powder, I removed a thin line of powder around the front cloud using a stylus. Easy! I then added a scattering of sequins from Pretty Pink Posh, and I was done!
