Hello, crafty friends!
This week, we are SO lucky to be collaborating with our good friends at Lawn Fawn!
I used the new Lawn Fawn “Let’s Bokeh in the Snow” petite paper pack – love the versatility of this paper! I cut some into strips, and stuck them on a diagonal onto some cardstock, then die cut a stitched square. I then stamped “Christmas” from Hero Arts “Merry Stamp & Cut” set onto a white banner, and added a glittery die cut “merry”.
Thanks so much to Lawn Fawn for playing with us this week – so much fun!
It’s beginning of a new month and that means new collaboration. In October we have an amazing partner. The one. The only. The Lawn Fawn. I know. How amazing is that!? We got to play with their new stamps and pattern papers and you can see some really inspiring posts from our design team all month long. Thank you, Lawn Fawn!
I’m starting with and adorable winter scene that I built with new Ready, Set, Snow stamp set. I manipulated the snow line stamp to make snow drifts, added the village in the distance and two adorable snow men in the front. Sentiment is from Hero Arts Sparkle Borders stamp set that I stamped with black ink and brushed some Perfect Pearls over it immediately to make it shine.
I coloured everything out with my Inktense pencils. I just touched a damp paint brush to the tip of my pencils and painted directly to paper. My card base is not watercolour paper so I didn’t do much blending and fiddling with my colours.
My final touches were stamped snowflakes, Liquid Pearls on trees and roofs and some extra snowflakes made with Liquid Pearls and Stickles. I also added two strips of new Let’s Bokeh in the Snow pattern paper to frame my scene and I have my first Holiday card made 🙂
I hope you join us for our collaboration posts in the next few days and get inspired by our amazing design team and Lawn Fawn.
Have a great day!
I am back with my new solo post. Today I am sharing a technique called gesso resist.
For the background of the card I have stamped the Hero Arts zig zag chevron background stamp and dark chocolate simon says stamp ink. I have die cut the thanks die and applied wink of stella clear glitter.
I played with one of my favorite stencil from Hero Arts called “Tweed Pattern”….
I masked the borders and placed the stencil onto the card base and applied a light coat of modeling paste on top.. Once the modeling paste was dry I applied Squeezed lemonade ink to the pattern. The image is from pretty peonies which is colored with squeezed lemonade and scattered straw. I used Lawn Fawn thanks die on sunshine cardstock from Simon Says Stamp. Finally added some sequins for embellishment..
Here is a close up..
Hope you liked my card and got you inspired…
