Hello! The Crafty Nurse here with a collaboration project with Lil’ Inkers for our Vellum challenge at A Blog Named Hero.
The Modern Mehndi set from Lil’ Inkers is stunning when white heat embossed on vellum. I colored the back of the vellum with Copic Markers and created a frame with the Lawn Fawn Stitched dies. The background was embossed on vellum using sparkly powder and I popped up the flowers with foam tape.
I hope you’ll join us at A Blog Named Hero for our June for our collaboration with Lil’ Inkers for the Vellum Challenge!
Hello! The Crafty Nurse here with a little Hero Arts inspiration for the Vellum challenge at A Blog Named Hero.
Vellum can be a bit challenging to use in your card making, but I love the way that it can mute down a bright design for a more subtle mood. The other question is how do you adhere the vellum without seeing the adhesive? The way I chose was to use brads. I’m sure you all have some of those in your stash, I know I sure do!
I began by creating a cluster of circles using multiple Hero Arts Shadow Inks. I heat embossed the Lil’ Inker’s Modern Mehndi stamp for the sentiment and finished off with Hero Arts pearls.
I hope you’ll join us at A Blog Named Hero for our June Vellum Card Challenge! This month we are collaborating with Lil’ Inker so I’ll be back later this month with more inspiration using their great stamps!
Hello! The Crafty Nurse here with another card for our Tone on Tone Challenge here at A Blog Named Hero.
I hope you’ll join us at A Blog Named Hero for our May Tone on Tone Card Challenge! Thanks again to Gina K for her collaboration this month. See you in June!
Hello! The Crafty Nurse here with a little Hero Arts inspiration for the May “Tone on Tone” challenge at A Blog Named Hero.
This month we are collaborating with GinaK Designs, who not only has a great store, but provides hours of amazing video content so be sure to visit and learn some amazing stamping techniques.
For my card today I used the April Hero Arts Kit, which sadly is already sold out and usually happens quickly, so grab them when you can. This kit comes with a stunning floral set that has both pop-up and standard dies to match. There was also a Daniel Smith watercolor sampler giving you a chance to test several colors. Once you try these quality paints, you’ll absolutely love them.
I hope you’ll join us at A Blog Named Hero for our May Tone on Tone Challenge! We can’t wait to see your entries. Happy Stamping!!
Hello fellow Hero Art’s Friends!
Kathy, The Crafty Nurse here with you today for my second take on a this month’s “Clean & Simple” challenge in collaboration with Newton’s Nook.
For my card I began by stamping the adorable “Newton’s Naptime” in Momento Tuxedo Black Ink so that I could do some copic coloring. If you want to learn more about how to color animals, check out Kit & Clowder’s Animal course – it’s fabulous.
We are enjoying all the “Clean & Simple” cards but there isn’t much time left before the challenge ends so let’s see what you’ve got!
