Hi friends – welcome back for another geometric card; have you joined our challenge this month?
For this month’s challenge
I decided to play with one of my favorite Hero Arts color layering stamps – the hibiscus can be stamped in almost any color and it is guaranteed to be gorgeous.
I used several shades of pink for the flowers and just stamped the veins of the leaves on white cs. The black centers of the flowers and the veins were stamped in black ink and clear embossed so they are quite shiny. I have had a hard time finding black and white striped paper so made my own by cutting 1/2″ strips of black cs and then adhering to a white base. The sentiment was a gift from a friend (she kindly sent me a lovely selection of sentiments stamped on vellum) – and how nice to have them handy to add to a card. To finish the card I used a black base and scattered some clear and black sequins.
Thanks for visiting today.

My card today uses Always Cherry Blossoms from The Ton. This is such a beautiful set and I so enjoyed designing with it.
The flowers and leaves are colored with Perfect Pearls and a little water – they have a lovely shine in real life! Also added a bit of Copic gray to the branches for a little definition. The background was done by cutting white cs diagonally and then trimming off about 1/8″ on either side of the diagonal cut. Next the sentiment was stamped in black ink and clear embossed. The two diagonal pieces were popped up with some foam tape on a soft grey card base. Lastly I adhered my fussy cut cherry blossoms.
The design team will have lots of fun examples of our “pop of color” theme this month – create a card with a pop of your favorite color and add it to our challenge link here.
Hi friends – welcome back for another fun collaboration between Hero Arts and Lil’ Inker Designs – lucky me, I already had some fun things in my stash from Lil’ Inker’s which made this card oh so fun to create!
