Welcome back to another collaboration post with Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp; the DT has thoroughly enjoyed their products. I order almost all my supplies/products from SSS so this is a super fun collaboration!
Hi friends – welcome back for another fun collaboration post with Concord & 9th! A huge shout out to Concord & 9th for sharing your goodies with us…the entire design team LOVES the items we received, thank you!
I actually made 3 cards…and just did not like the first one at all – HA, please tell me that happens to you too, so I set about making a couple different ones!
The first one is super CAS, just watercolored those cute By Your Side birds and glued them to some kraft card stock…yes, I went to town flinging colors again. I stamped the gorgeous sentiment in Hero Arts brown ink, stamping it twice for a dark, rich feel. I cut the kraft piece using MFT Blueprints – love that stitched edge; bet I use this die on 95% of my cards!
The next card features an ivory background, pretty much identical watercolored birds. This time I stamped the sentiment in Hero Arts brown – twice – but also added the sentiment, slightly offset, in Hero Arts Neon Green.
Thanks for stopping by; and don’t forget our challenge this month – ONE LAYER! Hope you will share your creations with us by linking them up HERE!
What’s It Take:
KRAFT & WHITE CARD:
Today I am sharing a non-Christmas card with you all, I played with one of my favorite stamp set called “Your Own Status”…
I started by stamping the images using black ink directly on the cardbase, I masked the pot before stamping the cactus. Then I stamped the image which I wanted to highlight onto a white piece of cardstock and colored it using Copics. Then I stamped the sentiment on a white piece of cardstock and cut around it. The image and sentiment is adhered using foam adhesive.
Here is a close up:
Now the fun part, there are two $25 gift certificate to giveaway this month. For more details, check out this Rafflecopter.
I decided to make a card featuring what I think Lawn Fawn does best – making stamp sets to build a scene!
Thanks so much to Kelly-Marie and the staff at Lawn Fawn for letting us play with their wonderful stamps and papers this month!
