Trio of Tags

November 27, 2020

Hi everyone, Caren here today.  I hope all who celebrated had a great Thanksgiving.

Today I have a trio of tags to share with you today.

I stamped the Graphic Snowflake Bold Prints stamp onto white card stock with Versamark ink and heat embossed with silver embossing powder.

I then used tag dies from my stash to die cut three dies from the stamped image.  I ink blended with three different colors of distress ink.  I colored the images from an older Hero Arts stamp set – Snow Much Joy – with Copic markers.

I stamped my sentiments – from the November 2017 My Monthly Hero kit – onto some banners.  I adhered the images and banners to my tags with dimensional adhesive.  To finish the tags, I added some coordinating twine.

Thanks so much for visiting and don’t forget to visit the challenge to link up your project for a chance to win a Hero Arts gift card!

Trio of Tags

March 27, 2020

Hi everyone, I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.  It’s really hard to fathom what is going on in the world right now.  I hope that sharing some craftiness can bring a little sunshine into your day.

I’m sticking with this month’s challenge theme of Anything but a card in today’s post.  I made three different Christmas tags using various inks and stamp sets from Hero Arts.

ABNH_CB_0327

For my first tag, I ink blended a white tag and a stencil with two ink cubes from Hero Arts – Lime Green and Forest.  I then stamped the holly image and Merry Christmas sentiment from the Mini Christmas stamp set, colored the small images with Copic markers, and added a couple of jewels to complete the tag.

ABNH_CB_0327a

My second tag uses the Hero Arts Blue Reactive ink and the Stacking Snowflakes stamp set.  I stamped one part of the snowflake in the blue ink and heat embossed the second layer with silver embossing powder.  The sentiment is from the November 2017 My Monthly Hero kit.

The third tag features more ink blending with blue inks and then I overlayed a snowflake stencil and used the Unicorn White Hero Art ink.  The stamps for this tag are from the Winter Silhouettes stamp set.

There is still time to join the A Blog Named Heroes monthly challenge.

Hero Arts Build a (Wreath) Christmas Card

November 6, 2019

Hi Friends! I’m back today with another card for our Nature challenge. I’ve used the Hero Arts Build a Tree stamp set, but to make a wreath!

Hero Arts Build a Tree

I used 3 different branches from the wreath builder part of the stamp set, in 3 shades of gray/silver to form my main wreath. I then triple stamps, for maximum opacity, the red holly berries & my sentiment over top.

To keep with the monochromatic theme I had going, I mounted the card panel onto some black mirror card, and the onto silver glitter paper.

My finished card is 4.5″x4.5″

Thanks for stopping by today!

Infinity Shaker Card w/ Hero Arts Christmas Goodies

August 6, 2019

Hi Everyone! Kristina Here with another Christmas in July project. You have a few days left to enter our July challenge, I wen non-traditional for this one.

The Process

  • I started by stamping the Candy Stripe background in versamark ink onto some Bristol Smooth paper, and heat embossing with clear embossing powder
  • Once cooled, I did some ink blending over top, wiping off the excess afterwards to reveal the white strips that resisted the ink.
  • To turn this into an infinity shaker I stuck the card panel into a stamp storage pocket. To close it I trim the storage pocket down so that theres only about an inch and a half on excess past the card. Cut the corners off that flap and use strong double sided tape to fold it over and adhere it down.
  • To make it into a card that will stand up on its own and have somewhere to write a greeting, I use more strong tape to adhere the shaker down to a white a2 notecard trimmed slightly smaller than a2 so that it’s hidden behind the shaker.
  • For the front, I die cut a Hero Arts Infinity Tag out of white glitter cardstock and stuck it down to the front with more strong tape & added some ribbon to embellish
  • For my sentiment, I die cut the Hero Arts Christmas fancy die from foil card stock as well as stamped and heat embossed some secondary sentiments onto black card stock. I adhered all of this down to my tag with strong liquid adhesive.

I hope I’ve been able to give you some last minute inspiration to enter our Christmas in July challenge, I can’t wait to see what you create!!

Christmas Tree Card Set

December 27, 2018

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are getting a chance to relax after all the hustle and bustle of the holiday. Or if you are like me, you are still sending out Christmas cards. Yes, this is the one thing that I always wait till the last minute to send, so instead they become “Hope You Had A Merry Christmas” cards lol.

Here are three more cards that I will be sending out a little later than expected but were so fun to make.

Have you had a chance to play along with out “Winter” Challenge this month?

The stamp and embossing folder is an older Hero Arts product that I still have in my stash, called Birds ‘n’ Trees Set. I made the gold embossed cards first.

I started the first one by using the embossing folder and then gold embossing the tree stamp. I wasn’t happy with the result and so reversed the steps by gold heat embossing first and then running the embossing folder through my die cut machine. The result was better details which can be seen on the card on the right.

I then trimmed down the panels and added them to a white card base. I added the “merry” die in glitter card stock and heat embossed the Christmas in gold.  To finish the card I added a little Nuvo Glitter Drops.

I also wanted to stamp the trees in blue so created a third card.

The details of the stamp really comes through in the ink. I used the same sentiments and glitter drops to finish of the card.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you get a chance to play along with us in our Winter Challenge!
