Welcome to another collaboration post with THE amazing Altenew.
I was inspired by our latest challenge Unexpected and I used small petal shaped stamps to create background for two cards. Main flourishes are beyond gorgeous and don’t worry I will use them in my next posts.
My first card is a birthday one. I used Persian Motifs for the background in rainbow order and added the cake and sentiment from new Stamp & Cut set Birthday from Hero Arts.
The second card is Missing you one for your father, son or maybe little brother. I parred this background with the elephant pair from OWH Lil Hoot 4×6 stamp set from Hero Arts.
You can find all of my supplies in the Simon Says Stamp store that is our amazing and wonderful sponsor.
Thank you for coming over and come back tomorow for another amazing inspiration collaboration post.
Hi, all! Michelle Lupton here, with a card I made last weekend with some of my favourite stamps at the moment – Hero Arts’ “Messages with Flourish” and Altenew’s “Hennah Elements”. I wanted to make something dramatic and colourful, so I pulled out some black cardstock and my Derwent Inktense pencils.
The panels on the front were stamped in black, and coloured with Inktense pencils, then smoothed out with some water and a paintbrush. There’s still some texture, though, as the card stock is linen textured.
Our collaboration with Altenew is happening all this week, so make sure you drop in every day to check out some awesome creations and fabulous inspiration!
And, as always, thanks to our amazing sponsors!
We’re very excited to be introducing our next collaboration company to you all!
Altenew is one of our favourite companies so we’re beyond ecstatic that we get to play with them this month!
I wanted to try a technique I’ve seen Laura Bassen and Betsy Veldman use (and if there are any two ladies in the crafting industry to take inspiration from, it’s those two!) They call it ‘smooshing’. You add ink to a craft mat or piece of plastic, and then spritz with water, before laying your paper/cardstock over it. I used three Hero Arts Shadow Inks (Mint Julep, Fresh Peach and Stone Wash).
I stamped the Altenew Vintage Flowers stamp three times and the coordinating leaves multiple times before cutting them out, leaving a small white border. I added some Wink Of Stella Glitter pen,
I then chose a sentiment and coordinating die from Simon Says Stamp. I popped the flowers and sentiment panel up on foam adhesive.
I do hope you’ll stop by again tomorrow, and all through this coming week to see the amazing projects the participating DT members have made!
And of course, a big big thank you to Altenew for your generosity in supplying these stamps!
See you again soon!
