Hello there! It’s me, Cha! I want to show you this idea for the March challenge. I hope you are going to love this idea for decorating your home. Remember this March challenge is going to end by April 10th. Make sure to use your Hero Arts products to create something different except a card and to join us in this March challenge. Let’s started!
First of all, I picked heavyweight vellum, such as the Hero Arts. I used four sheets of vellum to create this decoration. You can use your MISTI Stamping Tool if you want to but I preferred not to use it because I used a Cling Stamp which is easy to stamp without using a stamping tool. I used the Hero Arts Venetian Fleur-de-lis Bold Prints that is a 6″ by 6″ rubber stamp. I faced the rubber up on my work surface so that I could press the vellum down on top of the stamp. So, I used an Anti-Static Powder Tool first on the vellum sheet and inked the stamp with Versamark Ink. Then, I pressed the vellum down the stamp firmly and I heat embossed this piece with White Embossing Powder. As it is a sheet of vellum, I trimmed the piece down to the size of the stamp (6″x6″) excepting the right side that I left 0,75″ and scored it to create the lap for gluing this to the next side of this candle decor using adhesive tape.
I created three more pieces like this one. Then, I wanted to create something similar to a square, so I glued each lap to the next piece of vellum until I created this square.
Finally, I added this decorative square on a decorative plate and added artificial candles inside. However, you can create one of these as a vase for indoor plants, cacti or flowers.
I hope you understand this process and like this idea. Also, I hope you get inspired to join us in the March challenge!
Hello there! It’s Cha here with another card for a birthday. There are a few days left so that this challenge is going to end. If you have not joined us for this February Challenge, you have an opportunity to do it! If you win, you will get a 50$ gift certificate, also another crafter will be chosen randomly and will get a 25$ gift certificate! Hurry up and upload your birthday cards! Let’s start creating a birthday card!
I decided to make a simple card using several Hero Arts products from two different My Monthly Hero kits. They are not available but you can find other similar products at the Hero Arts store. Remember that there are optional subscriptions in order to purchase these monthly kits. If you are interested, check them out here!
My Monthly Hero kit – February
First of all, I picked the fancy die that came with one of the kits (the July 2018 My Monthly Hero kit) and decided to create a mask from this die using Masking Paper. I just wanted to use the frame of this die and the centerpiece. Then, I added the masks on an A2-sized panel. For coloring this card background, I used Distress Oxides but you can use the Hero Arts Reactive Inks. The colors that I used were Squeeze Lemonade, Mustard Seed and Wild Honey. Besides, I sprayed some water and some shimmer to this background. I waited a few seconds and removed all the masks from the panel.
As I wanted this card simple, I just stamped a small present on white cardstock with Hero Arts Intense Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers – R89, R46, Y19, Y02. I used the Mini MISTI Stamping Tool to get a more crisp image. I used the coordinating die to cut the image. This image was from the February 2020 My Monthly Hero kit which I said this is not available. I added this image in the middle of the card with some adhesive foam circles.
In order to arrange this card, I glued a piece of black cardstock on a white card base. I trimmed a little bit the edges of the main panel and glued it on top of the black piece so that a black frame is shown around the central panel.
I hope you are encouraged to take part in this challenge before March, 10th.
Thank you so much!
