Hi there! Kate, here.
Shaped cards can be anything, right? So I figured why not have a rectangle card on a rectangle card?
If you’ve seen my Instagram (@katedeignancards) then you know I am a huge fan of the Turnabout stamp and this one is no exception! This HA + C9 Props Turnabout 6 x 8 stamp set (PR100) is such a great stamp to brighten up someone’s day!
I used my Hero Hues Reactive Inks in Berry Smoothie, Blue Hawaii, Pool Party, and Key Lime Fizz to stamp the 4 turns of the background on the Arctic White card panel(PS314). Line this stamped panel on a Kiwi (#100) panel measuring 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. No need for a full card–the mini card on the front is where you can write the sentiment. Background, done!
Next I took a folded piece of Arctic White to make the mini card for the card front. Using my Infinity Rectangle dies (D1198) I positioned the die just above the scored line (as not to cut the fold).
Stamp the background bubble in Key Lime Fizz and the “You Amaze Me” in Blue Hawaii, fill in the hearts and stars and attach to your Turnabout panel. Your shaped card on a card is done! (of course you can add some tiny rhinestones!)
I can’t wait to see what you come up with for this month’s challenge! Tag me on Instagram (@katedeignancards) if I’ve inspired you to make your own version of this card.
