Hi there! Kate, here! I’m so excited to share my first post of the year!
I love color but I hate TO color (hate is a strong word, but I do not like coloring all that much!). BUT, I also love stamps that are designed for coloring. So that means I need to come up with an alternative to coloring and I think you might like it!
I took 4 colors of card stock (Amethyst #100, Mustard #111, Adriatic #111 and Cherry #100) and cut each into a 6 x 6 inch square. You could probably use an A2 card front size but the 6 x 6 square made the math easier for me.
I peeled the Tin of Brushes (K6357) stamp off the wooden block (oh the horror!) and placed it in my Misti Stamping tool in the center of the 6 x 6 paper. I stamped with Embossing and Watermark ink (AF419) and heat embossed with White Ultrafine Embossing Powder (PW111).
Then I cut each square at 3 inches vertically and horizontally. This gave me 4 pieces in each color, which I then mixed and matched like a puzzle to make 4 card fronts. I glued each “puzzle” together, attaching it to a thin piece of printer paper, then trimmed it down to A2 card size with Infinity Rectangle dies (D1798).Four cards in no time! These would make a great set of note cards for a teacher or your craftiest friend!
Four cards in no time at all! These would make a great set of cards for a teacher or your craftiest friend!
