Hi all! It’s Gwendolyn here and I’m back to share a birthday card I made to inspire you to join in our latest challenge. You still have until tomorrow 10th to enter your makes, so get going!
I decided to try colouring my card with Hero Arts Taffy Reactive ink using my daughter’s makeup brushes, seeing how everyone’s raving about it, and I couldn’t believe how much smoother the inks went on! No splotches or hard lines, which I usually have with a sponge. After I inked up my card base, I sprayed it with a fixative I use for my oil paintings, so that the ink wouldn’t transfer or smudge.
I then stamped Hero Arts Dahlia stamp onto some card stock and coloured it with my Spectrum Noir Illustrator alcohol markers. I wanted a white flower so I just drew in some accents over the stamped lines, with my Stabilos! This was then cut out with the accompanying die in the stamp set. The sentiment from Hero Arts Birthday Messages stamp set was stamped on white card stock too, with Hero Arts intensified black ink, and die cut with a circle die.
Well, I hope you enjoyed my card and that you’ll be inspired to join in our challenge. You have until tomorrow to enter and to stand a chance of winning a $25 or $50 gift voucher to the Hero Arts store. I look forward to seeing your entries here!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day doing something you love!
Hugs,
