Hello Makers! This month the challenge is to create ”Anything but a Card ” and in my previous post I made bookmarks. Today I will share with you another fun project that is perfect for an Easter table, a Birthday, or just a simple little small gift.
I recently gave these to two girlfriends who are also practicing “social distancing” as you know we out here in Northern California have been ordered to shelter in place for the past week so we are all starting to go a little crazy between working from home, homeschooling, having your spouse around 24/7 and lack of purely just getting out for a coffee and some exercise.
We are all taking this VERY seriously so as to flatten the curve and save others lives, so I made these and dropped off a couple of bath bombs and some special tea bags and a couple of tiny chocolates- just left them in the mailbox and texted them to let them know a treat had been left off.
Right now it really is the smallest gestures that will keep people positive that we will get through this together.
So…onto the making! I took some Hero Arts Dove white cardstock and I used two lawn fawn dies to die cut these two cute bags. You cut two duplicates per bag and it takes about 2/3 of an 8-1/2×11 sheet of cardstock. You could also use Kraft paer and just make a simple little bag or use a paper lunchbag like we used to take.
I stamped with versamark sticky ink and embossed the large woodblock flowers on two of the bags fronts and embossed with white and gold embossing powders and then did some very quick coloring with Zig and tombow markers, I added some details with colored pencil, I kept it fairly simple as I did not know if these would juts get recycled or thrown away immediately due to the virus. After you are done stamping and coloring then I used double sided adhesive tape to put them together. And added some coordinating tissue paper. You could also add some sweet little tags but I ran out of time!
More images on my blog, hope you have a quiet and restful weekend, and STAY Healthy!
I hope you enjoy this inspiration and please take some time to craft and make it will ease your mind and soul. Dont forget to link up your projects here for the chance to win a $50 gift card from Hero Arts.
