My daughter had this beautiful Elsa dress for her barbie doll….now it’s a snowy sky on a card. Just for the record; She knows all about it and the dress was used to pieces before I cut in it. lol
I am sharing a christmas card for A Blog Named Hero today completing the month og christmas cards on our blog. Take a look and see all thos wonderful cards the design team and our lovely partisipants have made.
But on to my card. I cut the dress to get those snow crystal pieces of fabric and glued it on a piece of white cardstock. I then freehand cut a couple of snowy mounds and popped them up on layers of foam tape to get three hights in my window. I then cut a frame using a stitched frame die and loosely attatched it to my scene.
I stamped and colored the the cute raccoon, the christmas tree and the star from the October 2018 My Monthly Hero kit and colored the images using my copic markers and glued them in and on my frame making the raccoon hold the star wondering how the heck he is supposed to untangle himself and also how to get the lights and star on the big tree. I think he needs some help.
I stamped my sentiment, also from the same kit, on my “ground” using a stamp positioning tool to get it just right.
I used a rectangle die to cut a piece of patterned paper to size and glued it on a white card base before I glued my scene to the middle of the patterned paper.
A fun and very cute way to used broken barbie dresses. Just be sure to ask your kids before stealing them… lol
I wish you all a lovely day. Make it a good one.
So cool! And a fun way to upcycle!
lol…definitely ask first, but this is lovely!
