Hi all, its Gwendolyn here today to share a card I made to incite you to join our latest challenge “Celebrate”, cause we’re celebrating Hero Arts 45th anniversary! You still have a day to enter your cards here as the challenge ends on the 10th of June. Any cards with a celebration theme will do, so birthdays, anniversaries, graduation…I played with my alcohol inks on Yupo paper today and created a coloured panel from which to cut my Hero Arts Fairy Window Fancy die, which was adhered to my card base which I previously stencilled on using Hero Arts Spiral Petals stencil. To adhere the intricate diecut to my paper, I used a glue/varnish used for the napkin/decoupage projects and brushed it onto the back of my diecut. So even if it borders over to the front of the die cut when I’m brushing it on, it doesn’t matter as its transparent.I stamped on the sentiment from Hero Arts My Monthly Hero December kit, (which is sold out by the way, but which I am giving away as my way of celebrating Hero Arts 45th anniversary! See my post here to see how.) using Hero Arts mulled wine ink as I wanted it to look as if it was part of the diecut. I even extended the tail end of the “S” in “wishes” so that it would connect to the diecut. This card took me all of 30mins so I hope this will inspire you to make a card too and join in our “Celebrate” challenge. Looking forward to seeing your wonderful projects here! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful crafty day!
