Hi all! Its Gwendolyn and I’m so happy to be on the blog today to share a Clean and Simple card with you to hopefully incite you to join our CAS challenge here. Today I made a really simple card (for once…) that I feel quite lazy for doing so!
I first created my watercolour background by stamping some Hero Arts reactive inks onto my acrylic stamping block, spritz water, and wiped my card over it. This is called “smooshing”! Then to create the “blooms” I sprinkled large salt grains onto the still wet watercolour background and let it dry completely. When my watercolour panel was completely dry, I wiped away all the salt and stamped the images and sentiment from Hero Arts Mouse Tea Party. They are really too cute! I wanted to leave it at that but my itchy fingers needed to do more so I sketched in a few lines on my mice…and ended up making my female mouse a little too hairy!! LoL!
To finish, I cut my panel with Hero Arts Rounded Rectangle Infinity dies and adhered it to a card base. I was dying to add splatters but as it’s supposed to be a CAS card, I had to leave it like that.
Well, I hope you were inspired to use some Hero Arts products and join in our challenge. You have till the 10th of May to submit your cards and stand the chance to win either a $25 or a $50 gift voucher to our sponsor Hero Arts! I look forward to seeing your cards in the challenge gallery. Thanks for stopping by and have a Great Day!
