Hello there! I’m going to introduce myself but, first I can’t tell how much I’m excited about this! This is the first time that I’m joining a designer team (thank you for this, ladies!) and this is the second time that I applied for it and got it! yeah!
I’m Cha and I’m from the island of Lanzarote, the Canary Islands (Spain). I’m a full-time ESL teacher in a public high school and I love cardmaking, movies, series, and music!
I started this wonderful hobby three years ago and created my YouTube channel to share my projects. One year later, I also started sharing my projects on my blog chalionart.com and on my Instagram @chadelel, too!
I love Hero Arts products (and the fantastic kits!) and it was the first company that I trusted in order to take orders from the Internet. So, they showed me the world of cardmaking through their products!
First, I stamped many beach chairs using different dye inks on white cardstock – Most of the inks that I used for this card are the ink cubes that came with the Hero Arts monthly kits. We can find similar ink colors in the Hero Arts catalog: deep ocean, butter bar, orange soda, soft granite, soft sky, summer sky, navy, dandelion, strawberry, orchid, aquatic. Later, I die cut each beach chair with the coordinating die.
I created the background covering a piece of white cardstock with some Versamark ink and heat embossed with sand embossing powder. I heat embossed this piece twice for better results. I attached this background on a standard folded card (4,25 by 5,5 inches) and started gluing the beach chairs using a ruler to make the row of beach chairs straight. I cut the excess from the edges.
Later, I heat embossed the sentiment with sand embossing powder. As I wanted to heat embossing twice, I used the mini MISTI. I trimmed this piece and attached on the beach chairs from the sandy background. Also, I heat embossed the bottom part of each beach chair with sand embossing powder to give a more realistic look.
I added some beach balls too and some colorful shell embellishments that I have in my stash.
I gave some shine to the beach chairs using a shimmer pen.
And that’s it! this is the result of my card that I hope you like it!
See you soon!
