Hello and happy Friday! Kimberly here today to share a fun project that would be perfect for a friend or co-worker!
Coffee related crafting is so popular right now (and with good reason – I know I can’t turn down a good cup of java)! Our collaboration partner this month, Right At Home, just released the most adorable new coffee stamp sets ! For my project, I’ve combined Right At Home’s “How Have You Bean” stamp set and some fun Hero Arts goodies!
I made my treat holder (for chocolate covered coffee beans, of course!) by die cutting the diamond shape ornament included in the November My Monthly Hero kit from kraft cardstock. I stamped the coffee bean trio from “How Have You Bean” repeatedly, and colored them in with Copic markers.
Next, I die cut a window in one of the triangle panels with one of the dies included in the November kit. I added acetate to the back side of the treat holder to keep those yummy treats inside!
To use this die as a treat holder that would lay flat, as opposed to the diamond shape it normally creates, I snipped off the points of the four panels with the holes, and then folded the flaps inward. I adhered these with removable adhesive so that the recipient can have as few or as many treats as they’d like and still be able to shut the treat holder.
Here’s a close up of the treat container. It was tough to keep these chocolate covered coffee beans in the house long enough to get the photos – these seem to be a new favorite around here! 😉 To finish up my little gift, I made a quick mini card to go along with the treat holder. I heat embossed the sentiment and coffee beans to match.
Be sure to play along with this month’s challenge, New to Me. Crafting in such a monochromatic way is definitely new to me, but I have to say, I love how this turned out! You have until January 25 to enter to win a fabulous prize from this month’s sponsor, Right at Home! Can’t wait to see your projects!
