Hello! I’m honored and excited to be joining the A Blog Named Hero Design Team. I am a stay at home mom of 4 kids (ages 12, 10, 7 and 2), a cat and dog. I moved with my family from Alberta, Canada to Texas a few years a go. I have been stamping and card making for as long as I can remember. After I moved I started blogging to find inspiration, meet other card makers, join in challenges and take online classes. You can find my blog here and you can find me on Instagram my username is kellyszafron.
I made a shaker card to share with you for my intoduction post. I stamped and embossed the outline of Texas on water color paper than added two shades of blue water color paint. To assemble my shaker I glued together several die cut frames to create dimension and room for my shaker elements to move (I used a technique shared by Jennifer McGuire on her blog). First adhere the acetate to the die cut from that will be on top than adhere the rest of the die cuts to that, making shaker window this way eliminates using foam tape and looks nice from the side. I embossed the sentiment on my card base before adhering the shaker. On the inside of the card I stamped the state outline again this time in blue and the sentiment over top.
I look forward to sharing my work with you over the next year and I hope you are inspired to share yours with us at a Blog Named Hero.
