Our theme for the month of October is geometric, so I went through my stash of Hero Arts background stamps, and this one jumped into my hands:
I stamped the background onto some Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock (mainly because my first thought was to paint some Distress Inks over it, but I changed my mind). I stamped the background in Versamark and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. I left a blank area in the middle of the stamp, so that I would have space to stamp my sentiment, using the Thanks stamp & cut set, with Intense Black ink, also from Hero Arts. I used four Distress Inks in greens and blues to fade into the centre.
I wanted to emphasize the geometric pattern in the background, so I cut some very thin pieces of silver glitter paper, and adhered them to match some of the lines in the background. I added some sequins as the finishing touch, just to make it slightly asymmetrical.
Make sure you join in with our new challenge – you can find the link in the top right sidebar, or go and visit the first post of the month.

This is beautiful! It looks like your sentiment is glowing!
Fabulous colours and I love how the strips of silver complete the design!
Love this, the thin strips of glitter card really set it off perfectly X
Super cool colors!! And great way to drawn our attention to the focal point!
