As my daughter commented when she saw this card, “Mom, you finally came out of your flowerbox!” I did have to sneak a few of them in tho!! This month our fantastic sponsor is:
and our challenge theme is:
And I am delighted to be designing with Julie Ebersole’s new release stamps, Stay Golden.
My pineapple was stamped repeatedly with Versamark on a scrap of dark yellow cs and gold embossed until there was a nice thick layer. The top (or crown) was stamped on a scrap of green with Versamark and clear embossed – again until there was a thick layer. I did the same with the little flowers leaves and sentiment except they were stamped with regular ink. Even tho there are matching dies for these stamps, I fussy cut them because I didn’t want the white edges. The base of the card is white with the striped washi tape from Target and the grey stripe from Michaels. Added a couple of sequins for added texture and done! All the repeated stamping was done with my MISTI.
This month you can win a prize from Ellen Hutson with your entry in our “Texture” challenge – so many ways to add texture – layering, dry and heat embossing, texture paste, embellishments, fabric, velveteen stamping – just to name a few. Our ABNH designers will have ideas for you all month long also. So join in here.
Fun sentiment for that yummy pineapple, Betty!!
Love the graphic nature of your card! Such a gorgeous pineapple!
Beautiful Betty
It is fun card Betty, different from your usuals, but I like that your style still comes thru.
Love the two contrasting stripes. Great card Betty.
What a fun sentiment & card–love the Washi!
Your pineapple is amazing, Betty! I love all the texture that you created with embossing, and how you added a few blooms to this card…perfectly placed, too 🙂
