A Pop of Color Cardinal

Hello, Jess here with a card using one of my new, most favorite stamps ever: the Hero Arts Color Layering Cardinal!

He is so ridiculously realistic…I just love him!  So to start my card I stamped the cardinal using shades of red ink.  Then I inked him with various shades of grey and stamped him over the rest of the card. in a random pattern.  I realized later that there was a little red ink left on the stamp which gave the grey just a slight red tint which actually looks pretty cool. 😉

Next I added some of the branches for a little added interest.  Then I die-cut the word ‘peace’ from the panel and kept all of the pieces.  I die-cut it five more times from white cardstock and adhered them together to create a chipboard-like sentiment.  I adhered the cardinal panel to a white cardbase and then inlaid the ‘peace’ sentiment on the front of the card.  Finally I stamped the rest of the sentiment on black cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder.  I popped it up with foam mounting tape and adhered it over the die-cut word.

Hi stampers, Alisha here for this month’s challenge with a card I made featuring a beautiful stamp set called “The Happiest of Peonies”.  A huge thank you to The Ton for sponsoring this month’s challenge!  Their stamps are so beautiful and make card making a breeze!

I tried to keep my colors to a minimum so that the Peonies would pop off the card.  And the mix of sequins in their Pink Peony Couture Mix is absolutely beautiful!  I recommend you get your hands on as many as you can!  They are a perfect mix of colors.

Shades of Grey with a pop of Color

Pulled out an oldie by goodie for today’s cards! Hero Arts Brush Strokes! I wanted a nice simple stamped background muted enough to stamp my sentiment over top. I went with a grey and yellow color scheme, one of my favorites! After stamping my background I inked up my sentiment with Hero Arts Intense Black and stamped over top. Added a few sequins and there ya have it!

A pop of red from The Ton

Hello, crafty people! Michelle L here to share a tone-on-tone card with you today. 

I think the tone-on-tone look lends itself to elegant cards particularly well. I decided to do a pale blended background using the Glorious Petal stencil from Hero Arts and Wet Cement shadow ink. I then stamped the sentiment from Messages with Flourish in Intense Black ink.
I stamped the layered roses and leaves from “Fresh Cut Roses” by The Ton on some scrap cardstock, and fussy cut them before layering them using dimensional adhesive.  As I only have two grey shadow inks, I created the pale base layer by stamping with Wet Cement and then stamping again with Unicorn White pigment ink to soften the colour.  The middle layer is then stamped with Wet Cement, and the top detail layer with Charcoal mid tone shadow ink.  (Kudos to Jennifer McGuire for this idea!)

A little tip for you when using layered stamping – I found that it was easier to line up the stamps with the previous layers if the stamp was stained. Red Royal shadow ink works particularly well at staining stamps!

Peace on Earth

Hi stampers! 
Ilina here today to with a simple Christmas card for you. Before I go into the details for my card I wanted to say a big thank you to the wonderful The Ton Stamps who were our collaboration partner this month! 
For today’s card I used one of the new Christmas sets from Hero Arts, Peace stamp and cut (I just used the stamps) along with the new Snowflake paper layering dies. First 

For my card first I cut my white panel then positioned the snowflakes and ran my layer through my die cutting machine. Next using Ombre (pool to navy) ink pad I stamped the sentiment. I layered it on top of slightly larger piece of silver glitter paper and then adhered to my card base. To add some bling I used some gemstones.
Here are some close ups so you can see how wonderful those paper layering snowflakes are!!!!
