Hello, Hero Arts fans! Michelle here today with a fun double-inked stencil technique to share with you – I got my idea from Hero Arts design team member, Mariana Grigsby. (You can find her card HERE)
I started with some kraft cardstock and masked off a strip in the middle for my sentiment. I then used the “Glorious Petal” stencil from Hero Arts and sponged white pigment ink onto the card. After heat setting that, I reapplied the stencil and added some Salty Ocean distress ink over the white.
The sentiment is diecut using Hero Arts “Happy” Stamp & Die set, out of multiple layers of white cardstock, then some glitter paper for the top layer. I white embossed the “birthday”, added a blue mat to match the ink, and adhered this to a top folding white card base. I added some sequins as a finishing touch to add some more sparkle!
(for the pink card, I used the “Lace” layering stencil from Tim Holtz, Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and some pink cardstock from my stash. All other supplies are the same as the blue card.)
To show you this technique in action, I made a video!
