On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me – four stunning stamp sets, three fab stencils, two shadow inks, and embossing powder that is the best!
No, this is not my product list for my card today – but it is close! I hope you’ve been keeping up with our Christmas event here at A Blog Named Hero – we have another amazingly talented guest here today – I am so excited to welcome The one. The only. Sandy Allnock! I have been a big goofy fangirl of Sandy’s for ages now – so when I found out that I would be hosting her visit to A Blog Named Hero, I did a little happy dance!
Here’s what she has created for your crafty inspiration – over to you, Sandy!
loved this sweet little mini stamp set called Elves by Lia Griffith –
they’re so sweet and bundled all up for carolling! And I stamped four
elves a-jingling on a little snowy hillside to carol away while we all
get ready for our own holiday celebrations. This would be an easy card
to stamp a bunch of and sit and color by the fireplace…there’s a video
over on my blog today to show you how I did it with these bright

Here’s my project for today:
I used the Peace Poinsettias stamp set, stamped onto some green and some red scrap cardstock, then fussy cut them and layered them. I added some detail with my Faber Castell watercolour pencils (but I didn’t add any water). On the white card base from Simon Says Stamp, I used the Leaf and Flourish stencil with some Wendy Vecchi embossing paste. After that dried, I stamped a sentiment from “Very Merry Christmas” onto some vellum with Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with Hero Arts clear embossing powder. I adhered the vellum to the card with Ranger Multi Medium Matte (in tiny dots behind the embossed sentiment), and then popped up the poinsettia on some dimensional adhesive.
And I’ve made a video for you, too! (Two videos for you in one day! YAY!)
Make sure you keep on visiting – we have more Christmassy crafty inspiration from our design team, and from our extra special guests! Thank you to Sandy for being our guest today, and thanks to you for dropping by today 🙂
