Our collaboration partner for this month is Simon Says Stamp so I’m using one of the new stamps from their latest release named Tiny Alphabet Background. I used it as emboss resist but not like you would normally do.
I first embossed that background on a piece of cardstock in clear embossing powder. Than I used Altenew’s Persian Motifs over that and emboss it in silver embossing powder. Than I used q-tips (like small sponge daubers) and “sponged” some ink over the images.
I did not want to cover that beautiful background up so I decided to cut it apart and raise the middle part up a bit. I put some black paper behind it so it becomes a black line when you tilt the card.
I thought that I needed a die cut sentiment but I don’t have any in English so I die cut this Thank you sentiment (hvala is Slovenian word for thank you) and glued that onto my raised panel.
I challenge you to think about different ways you can use your basic background stamps. That might even come in handy for tomorrows new challenge so don’t forget to come back 🙂
Thank you Simon Says Stamp for your wonderful product and for being the best sponsor ever. You can find all the products I used for this card with links to their store down bellow.
