Welcome to another collaboration post with THE AMAZING Simon Says Stamp.
I worked with Tiny Alphabet Background stamp from their latest release Falling For You. This is such a basic background design that can go such a long way. Today I’m showing you two different ways to use it on a wedding/anniversary card combined with the cutest little mouse from the new Baby Animals stamp set from the latest release from Hero Arts.
I used ink in inkpad and marker form on my background on my first card. First I used Hero Arts Soft Sand ink pad and then I went over it with a Distress Marker in Festive Berries and coloured just the letters I, L and U (*hint hint*).
I watercoloured the mousses with more Distress Markers and added a bowtie to one and a flower to the other to make them a couple. With a frame, banner and some sequins we were done.
I used Gilding Flakes from IndigoBlu for the next one and I applied them over some Sticky embossing powder from Ranger. Since I wanted the same design of my card I had to sand down the background a bit because it was way too strong. It does not look super festive until you tip the card in the light and the background sparkles (super difficult to capture on a photo). I did everything else the same way and we have two cards made with the same stamps and they look quite different.
Which one do you like best? I think I like the ink one better, but I also love the way the second one sparkles.
Thank you for coming over and don’t forget about tomorrow’s collaboration post as well.
Have a great day!
