This month there is a Wplus9 collaboration going on at out blog and I’m super happy to join in.
I wanted to use a Wplus9 mini stamp Just Geometric: Triangles so I embossed it on a piece of cardstock and sponged a few Hero Arts Shadow inks over it. You can’t see it on the photo, but I splattered some water from a wet brush all over and it made cardstock buckle a bit. Nice and subtle effect but you can see it in person.
And then I was stuck with that piece of cardstock and no idea what to do with it. Does that happen to you too? I tried a few card options and didn’t like any of them. Then I got a bigger card base and that did not work either. I got super frustrated, let me tell you…
And then it clicked… Make a bookmark. I seem to lose every bookmark that I have and I’m always looking for some. So I turned that piece of embossed and sponged cardstock and cut two pieces for the bottom and top of my tag/bookmark, stamped a starry background and quickly coloured those cute owls up with my watercolour pencils.
I found some purple and blue twine in my stash and I made a quick and cute tassel to put on top.
And then (after a few frustrating hours) I made this and I really like it. And I also have a piece of embossed and sponged cardstock left to play with.
So my question for today… What do you do if something just does not want to cooperate? Do you do something else or stick to it until you make something you like?
I hope you have no problems participating in tomorrows challenge, because you can win a gift voucher from our amazing sponsor Simon Says Stamp.
Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!
