It’s Mateja here with my first solo post of this year. Since I introduced myself yesterday, I wanted to continue with some of my favourite (Hero Arts) things in card making.
I experimented a little today and coloured this beautiful butterfly with Inktense Pencils and also Distress Markers. These two mediums are my last splurges in the colouring department and I wanted to make a comparison. I used similar colours (four of each) and some watercolour paper.
some texture to it with Tiny Ink Spots stamp and Hero Arts Soft Pool
Shadow ink. I added some Perfect Pearls over one of them and glued them
on card bases. Silver marker for some stitching on the edges, foam
squares behind butterflies and rounded corners to finish these two
cards. When that was done, I thought that they were missing something so
I started playing with some different coloured sequence. A glued a few
turquoise sequins in a diagonal direction for some extra bling and that
did the trick.
Thank you for joining me today, but don’t forget to come back tomorrow for our first challenge of this year and have a go at winning a $25 Gift Voucher from our amazing sponsor Simon Says Stamp.
Have a great day!
