It’s Lisa, back with another card featuring the wonderful Love Quotes Set from Mama Elephant.
As you might know, we are collaborating with Mama Elephant this month, and it has been a real pleasure to use this stamp set. It stamps beautifully, right from the start, which really makes this crafter happy. I have enough issues, I don’t need my stamps to be uncooperative. ;o)
A little Wink of Stella on the girl’s hair, of course. I might be addicted to that little pen. Who wants some Wink of Stella lip gloss?
I used a double layer of foam tape on the left bubble, to give it a bit more dimension.
At the last minute, I decided to give the boy bird some darker hair. Just a little delineation for him.
I do hope you’ll join us for our latest challenge, where you can win a $25 gift card to Simon Says Stamp, our awesome sponsor.
This is Cris, and today I have a couple of cards for you making the sentiments the stars of the show.
In most of my cards, generally, the sentiment is an after-thought, but this time that changed and it all started because of this stamp set from Mama Elephant:
You already know that this month we are getting to combine the gorgeous sets from Mama Elephant with our beloved Hero Arts:
And here is my first card:
I decided to use the banner stamp from the Mama Elephant set to create stripes for the background, super easy! Then I chose a big sentiment from Hero Arts and I die cut it several times with my Silhouette. I wanted dimension, so I glued the four white die cuts together, and added a grey die cut to the top. I thought that one of the sentiments from the same Mama Elephant set was perfect to go with the big words, and embossed it over one of the stripes in white. As a finishing touch, I wrapped some twine around the card and I tied it with a knot with some hanging hearts over the tails of the twine. Here you can see the hearts a bit better and the dimention of the die cut:
Time for the next card:
I wanted to use that big sentiment from Hero Arts cause I love the funny font!
To go with it, I stamped a border using one of the banner tails from the Mama Elephant set, and I colored it using Promarkers. I thought the bright colors went perfectly with the happy sentiment 😉
And to finish my post, I leave you with a super cheesy card:
What movie is this from? LOL! The moment I saw this sentiment in the set, the first thing that came to my head was Moulin Rouge, so I had to give it a go.
I started by painting a moon with masking fluid. Then watercolored over the top and dried it with my heat gun. I used a rubber to remove the masking fluid and glued down the Eiffel tower. Finished it with the stamped sentiment and a black card base.
So that’s it from me, I hope you liked the cards and I just want to remind you that you still have some time to play along with our current challenge:
And remember that this time there are two great giveaways, a 25$ gift voucher for Simon Says Stamp, and two stamp sets of your choice from Mama Elephant, so you can’t miss it!
Hello! Its Teresa here again with some fun stenciling techniques to share 🙂
Last time I showed how you can use one stamp 3 ways, so today I want to show how you can also use one stencil with 3 different techniques! Stenciling has been very popular recently and especially with water coloring techniques. The first card I used some distress inks and some water to create the background.
I popped the design onto a black layer and then made a small tag for the sentiment. I tied the tag onto the card with some sparkly twine.
That’s all for today’s projects. And please don’t forget our current Inspired By Challenge!
