Hey everyone it’s Michelle here today and I am showing 2 cards and a scrapbook layout that incorporate both Elle’s Studio and Hero Arts. The “Love you more” line from Elle’s studio is absolutely AMAZING, INCREDIBLE and INSPIRING. I cannot say enough about this line. I had so many ideas. Here are just a few:
This card has lots of texture and dimension without being too “worked” I started by white embossing the white background with a Hero Arts background stamp. I used two Hero Arts dies (Heart and Big Ticket) to mat the Big Ticket I just cut it out of patterned paper and then hand trimmed the gray cardstock that I matted it with. For added punch, stamp your sentiment on a piece of patterned paper.
I layered hearts for dimension. I also added white tick marks on the large heart cut out of patterned paper, and added Glossy accents to the wood heart.
This card was very simple also. I started by masking the flower on the patterned paper (Note: Post-it notes work great for this type of masking when your image is already on a surface) and then stamping the Tweed Background stamp on it in Tide Pool for a tone on tone effect. I used a pre-made tag for my sentiment.
I used modelling film for the flower with some Alcohol inks. It looks so amazing in real life. The camera didn’t catch all the shine. The brad is an old, old Basic Grey.
I layered many of the papers from Elle’s Studio. I love them. I couldn’t decide which to use. Every one of them worked for this layout. I took a strip of yellow cardstock and stamped the Canvas Stripes in the new Hero Arts Vanillla. I stamped the butter fly with Butterbar and a definition stamp.
A simple way to add to a layout is to use a pre-made frame around a picture. Elle’s Studio has some great ones. I used “Picture Perfect” here. I die cut flowers from my Silhouette and stamped the definition stamp on them also.
The title was die cut using my Silhouette and I used my clear Wink of Stella pen on it. I also did more tone on tone stamping with the patterned paper by Elle’s Studio and the Floral background by Hero Arts stamped in Pale Tomato.
One way to make an embellishment your own is to add a stamp. I added the Hero Arts XOXO onto this little ticket from the Bits and Pieces set Elle’s Studio has.
I hope I have inspired you to combine pre-made items with your Hero Arts Stamps.
