Hi everyone! Cheiron here with my monthly post and some ideas on creating cards with kids that are fun and easy. My favorite six year old is turning seven this week and I thought it would be fun to help her design some personalized thank you notes she can send out for any presents she gets.
You can stamp the names for the kids (or set the letters up on the block depending on their age and skill level).
Once the names are stamped, let the kids experiment with different stamps and stencils to decorate their notes. The new paint splat type stamps are fun and easy for kids to use. The solid stamps can just be inked up with daubers. Stencils are also fun for kids to use with daubers as long as you don’t mind cleaning them off when they are done. They will want to try them all!
Here is a card we made with some paint splats and daubers and another that was made with stencils, then traced through the stencil once the dauber paint dried.
And here is another fun and easy one using just the daubers in a few different colors:
It’s never too early to teach the kids to send out thank you notes, and it’s even more fun when they can make the cards themselves!
Hope you enjoyed these cards, they were definitely fun to make!
