I’ve made three cards today, each one a little different style and different techniques so hopefully there is something for everyone! I tried to mix up the colors too.
First up is a bright and cheery card that uses a pretty feather stamp to make a background. This is an easy way to make your own patterned paper and to customize it for the recipient. This, in darker colors, could make a great masculine card too.
Next up is a CAS design with kraft and white – always a fresh color combo. I white embossed the feathers using both white ink and white embossing powder. Then I cut them out and mounted them on foam tape. The twine was poked through holes in my top card layer to make it easy to tie a bow.
Last up I decided to make a vintage, shabby chic sort of card using some muted tones. I stamped the feather in a nice grey ink and then distressed all my layers. The card base and the top layer are vanilla cardstock. I didn’t put a sentiment on this one, so I will keep it in my stash for any occasion.
