For this technique, you need two stamps of the same image — one solid and one outline. There are a ton of new sets that feature outlined and solid images in the same set like this one or this one. First, you ink up the solid stamp in a color of your choice and stamp! Then, ink up your outlined stamp in a lighter or darker color than your solid color. The closer your colors are to each other, the more subtle the offset look will be. Carefully line up the outlined image over your solid image and stamp down.
I used a Stamp-A-Ma-Jig just for a bit more control, but the idea isn’t to have them perfectly lined up but to offset them a little bit, resulting in a cool shadowed effect. For this card I kept all of the outlines white, to add some cohesiveness, but it would look awesome to do them in all different colors as well. I’m really excited to experiment a little more and see what I can come up with! Thanks for stopping by today and happy stamping! 🙂
