Hey ladies! Lin Brandyberry here with my extra post as a Guest Designer this month. When I saw what the current challenge was, I wanted to play along too, so here’s the card I made to share with you all.
My background paper is from Pink Paislee’s London Market. I distressed the edges manually and with some antique linen distress ink, then I overstamped the ferns with shabby shutters distress ink. That panel was framed with a pink cardstock to match my flowers and then affixed to a kraft card base.
Next I stamped and clear embossed the Etched Flowers on ivory cardstock in Latte chalk ink, sponging them with spun sugar. I went back in with a spun sugar distress marker to give some definition, and the leaves and flower centers were colored also with markers. Then I carefully cut out the image and popped it above the panel with 3D adhesives squares. My sentiment from Friend You’re the Best was stamped and trimmed into a banner.
No shabby card is complete without some seam binding, so I dyed my ivory binding with some more spun sugar distress ink and tied it into a double bow. To finish I added some pink pearls.
Thanks so much for having me as a Guest Designer this month – I hope my card will help to inspire you for the current challenge; you still have some time to enter – it closes tomorrow at 5 PM.. Thanks for stopping by!
