Hey everyone! It’s Michelle here and I have a LOT to share with you today. So lets get going….
Today we are going to learn how to make this darling little turkey place card that I found while searching Pinterest. You can see the 2nd original here. (I lost the first pin I found) I fell in love with these little guys and instantly started trying to figure out how I could do these on my own, with the supplies I had on hand. If you would rather just order the dies you can get them here
Before we move onto that though I put together a little Pinterest tutorial for those of you who have never seen Pinterest. It is a wealth of inspiration and I can honestly say I am addicted to it. I love having one place to keep all my inspiration…and with phones and laptops these days, you can take it with you without any bulk.
Here is the video for those interested in Pinterest:
Now onto the turkey:
I cut my turkey out using my Silhouette. You have to make some modifications to the turkey in the Silhouette software so I put together a video for you too. If you don’t have a Silhouette you can down load the pdf below it to get your turkey.
**I lost part of the video. You can also used scallop circles in your Silhouette software if you prefer. You will cut the bottoms off just like the turkey and add one cut with the knife tool about 1/2 inch long in the center bottom (refer to 2nd video)
PDF of turkeys…created in PSE by me. Sorry it’s the best I could do.
and finally, here is the final video on how to put the turkey together. Again, if you don’t have a Silhouette no worries! I used a Spellbinders die for my scallop circles and you could also use scallop circle punches. I took all the guess work out of it for you! 🙂
Here is the final video (if the words go ahead…I apologize. I had MAJOR technical issues with my new laptop today)
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I have linked all product below.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my U.S friends.
