Hi friends! Danielle here. Yay! It’s Wednesday, the weekend is almost here!!
When I saw the current challenge was White Out I danced a sweet little dance around my living room because I love me some white cardstock! I thought this would be so easy peasy since my cards are like 75% white space anyway! But then I realized, where is the challenge in that? You know what is a challenge for me: not using white! So I decided to switch things up and use NO white cardstock. Ugh, just the thought gave me anxiety!
Now, rather than send myself into a shock I took it easy with some pretty soft and neutral colors, only small pieces of patterned paper, etc. I don’t know why, but my brain just shuts down when I look at patterned paper. (Although I am quite good at collecting it!).
So, ta-da! Here is my white-free card! I was also happy because I got to use some new Hero Arts stamps I recently picked up. I kinda love how this turned out! I stamped the Envelope Liner background in Soft Sand ink on some kraft cardstock for the most subtle textured effect. I really love it! And if you’re wondering, the sentiment strip is a rustic cream cardstock…so technically it is NOT white…perhaps I pushed it a little 😉
